MSBM cohorts have been very fortunate over the years to benefit from hearing from some of the world leaders in Mass Spectrometry fields, and 2026 is proving to be no exception, as we have confirmed much of our line up.

Ryan is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Brigham Young University. His recent research efforts have focused on single-cell and spatial proteomics. His group’s efforts have enabled thousands of proteins to be rapidly profiled from single cells. He is now working to dramatically lower the cost of proteomics, with the ultimate goal of profiling any biological sample for just ~$10.

Lekha is a Professor and Strategic Research Chair in Bioanalytical Chemistry at Université du Québec à Montréal. Her group’s interests include developing novel analytical workflows for biomarker discovery and exposomics research using mass spectrometry. She is currently co-director of the CERMO-FC, a multi-institutional research network on orphan diseases and is the director of their metabolomics and proteomics platform.

Saer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and a Principal Investigator at the Van ’t Hoff Institute for Molecular Sciences (HIMS). His research focuses on developing and applying high-resolution mass spectrometry and data analysis tools to study complex mixtures of organic compounds in environmental and biological systems.

Victor is a separation scientist at AstraZeneca in Gothenburg and holds a master’s degree in pharmaceutical engineering from Uppsala University. He began his career at AstraZeneca in 2019, working to extend the use of supercritical fluid chromatography for the analysis of amino acids and peptides. He now works in the Separation Science Laboratory, primarily supporting early drug discovery for small molecules.

After a distinguished career in Academia, in 2014 Yury founded an EPFL spin-off company, Spectroswiss, which he has directed since then. Dr Tsybin’s research focus involves FTMS fundamentals, ion motion and ion detection, electron injection systems for ion fragmentation in the gas phase, data acquisition and signal processing. Yury is a former member of the MSBM Organising Committee, serving from 2008 to 2017.
“We’re delighted with MSBM 2026’s invited faculty experts who cover topics from single cell proteomics to chemometrics to fundamentals of ion motion and look forward to training our 18th class ….“ Prof. Dave Goodlett, MSBM Chair
