We are delighted to announce that Shimadzu will once again support MSBM at our 2025 event.

Last year, Andreas Baumeister, MALDI Product Specialist from Shimadzu, joined us for the week. Alongside helping students tackle mass spectrometry problems, Andreas gave a talk on Shimadzu’s MALDImini system and gave fascinating insights into some of its applications. We’re thrilled that Andreas will once again be joining us for our 2025 event.

Andreas also gave our students a useful insight into Shimadzu’s lab4u programme, which supports young, enthusiastic scientists with an interesting topic of research, by offering instrument time on the entire range of the state-of-the-art analytical equipment in the Shimadzu Laboratory World in Duisburg, Germany. You can read more about this program here: https://www.shimadzu.eu/about/research-development/lab4you.html

Talking about his experience lecturing at our 2024 event, Andreas said:

It was my first time at this event, and I really enjoyed it. It is a great opportunity to network with professors, scientists in industry, instrument vendors, and students. You learn not only about the latest MS techniques, but you can also share tips and tricks for your research. I really liked the open atmosphere and fruitful discussions. I’m looking forward to joining again this year and would be thrilled to attend again in the future.

Andreas Baumeister, Product Specialist (MALDI), Shimadzu

We’re thrilled that Shimadzu have once again chosen to support MSBM. This will be a great opportunity for scientists at the early stages of the mass spectrometry career to learn about Shimadzu’s products and how they might use them to advance their research. You can read more about Shimadzu’s range of products at https://www.shimadzu.com/

MSBM is a wonderful opportunity for those new to the field to learn about the fundamentals of mass spectrometry, share their work, and network with both their peers and the members of our world leading faculty.
